Every morning on our way to Mrs. Kim's, Christian does one of three things...sleep, watch a DVD, or play with my phone. Yesterday morning he decided that he wanted to play with my phone.
As we were approaching the dam, I noticed that it was going to be closed on Saturday for the Dam Walk. Being the good wife that I am (smile), I thought about Shaun because he was going scuba diving on Saturday at the lake. It made me wonder how he was going to get to the dam to go. So, I wanted to call him and see if he knew about the dam being closed.
Here was the conversation that Christian and I had after my thought above...
Me: Christian can I hold the phone so I can call daddy?
Christian: Your daddy or my daddy?
Me: Your daddy. Remember mommy's daddy lives in heaven with Jesus.
Christian: In heaven with Jesus?
Me: Yeah.
Christian: Mommy, we need to read my book about Jesus.
Me: Yes, we do.
Christian: Yes we do so we can find your daddy.
MELT MY HEART! I don't think daddy is in the book (smile) but he is with us every step of every day.
