This Mother's Day I got three amazing presents. One real Mother's Day present and two that I have been wanting for a while that got accomplished over the weekend. So, I am excited to say they were presents as well.
My real Mother's Day present was a new Coach purse. I am not what you call a "materialistic" person. I still have and wear clothes from high school and college. I buy and wear things from Target. My purses normally cost about $15 - $20. However, about four years ago Shaun surprised me with my very first Coach purse. I got it for my birthday, anniversary, and "push present". It was pretty costy, so I vowed to wear it everyday and I have...for four years straight. As you can imagine it was pretty grungy and ratty. Shaun thought I needed a new one but I was thinking "it is still good." However, he insisted. So, here is a picture of my new Coach purse. I love it. Thank you boys.
Another Mother's Day present was that Little Bit's room got painted. I have been so worried about his room not being painted, cleared or ready for him to arrive. I know that I still have time but I am a planner...got to have things in place. Make a list, do one thing, check it off, and move on to the next one. That is just how my mind works. Yesterday, Shaun, Christian, and I went to Lowe's to get the paint and materials we needed. When we got home Shaun got started. I was so excited about how it turned out. You did a great job sweetie. Thanks for working so hard to get his room painted. It still needs a lot of work but it is on it way.
Bryson Stephen Spivey
"Bryson" was a name that we just liked and Christian liked the most. "Stephen" is Shaun first name (also his dad's). Christian is named after my family and Bryson is named after Shaun's family.
What a wonderful Mother's Day. Thank you Shaun and Christian for the wonderful presents, but most of all for the outstanding and amazing love. I love both of you with all my heart. You certainly complete me. You have both given me the best job a women can have or ask for...being a mommy.
