Baseball Star

Baseball has always been a BIG part of my family. My sister played softball from the time she was about 6 until college. Shaun played baseball from the time he was about 4 until college. I have been a huge fan all my life (except for the fact that we had to follow my sister all over the nation to play...Michigan to Texas). I did some softball playing too when I was little. We are a baseball family. When I was pregnant with Christian, my mom said that she was going to bring a bat and ball to the hospital and give it to Christian as a "birth day" present. He might not have gotten it that early but he has had a bat and ball in his hand since the time he could walk. So signing him up for t-ball this year was just as exciting for me as it was for Christian.

Today was his first practice (Shaun is one of his coaches) and we were so excited all day long. When he woke up from his nap it was time to start getting ready so that we could go when Shaun came home. I have never seen someone so excited...Christian was excited too, ha.
Today they ran the bases to learn the base order, played the field, and batted around. It was so funny watching all these kids play ball. Some had no idea and others were pretty good for being 3. When the ball was hit, they all ran to it and wanted to be the one to get it. This got Christian upset a couple of times...gonna have to teach him there is no crying in baseball. We are also going to have to teach Christian that he needs to have his glove down to get the ball...not to put his glove on top of the ball and pick it up. All in all he did great and I just can't wait to see more.
