Lover or a Fighter?
Last night when we should have been putting Christian to bed (schedules, we don't need no stinking schedles) we were playing the Wii instead. This is Christian's new favorite game. Just ask him and he will tell you..."it's my favorite game."
We have played baseball, bowling, tennis, golf, and his all time favorite boxing. Are we teaching him to be a fighter, to be a protector, or skills to stay in shape? Whatever it is, he is just so cute to watch while he is playing.
He may be boxing but I truely KNOW that I am raising...a lover, not a fighter.

Muscle Man
I know that I say this all the time but gosh is my little boy a FUNNY man. I could laugh at him all day long. It is so true about kids and how they say the darnest things. I sometimes wish that I could record him 24/7 so that I don't miss a thing or forget things that he says or does.
So, instead of me taping a recorder to his chest, I thought that I would try to post about all the funny things that he says...or the ones that I cry at because I am laughing so hard.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The other night Christian had me laughing so hard that I was literally crying. Shaun had him showing me his muscles. Just imagine this little guy...

showing me his muscles (with shirt off) and asking me which "gun" I liked. TOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNY!
Here is the conversation:
C: Do you like this gun? (holding up his right arm up in a muscle pose) This gun? (holding up his left arm up in a muscle pose) This gun? (holding both arms down in a muscle pose) or This gun? (hold both arms up in a muscle pose).
M: I like this gun (showing my arms down in a muscle pose).
C: Daddy, mommy likes this gun. (showing his arms down in a muscle pose).
He keep doing it over and over and over again.
Of course, it is probably not as funny to some one reading it but boy was I crying. I was crying so hard that when I thought about video taping him, he stopped doing it (of course). However, now I have this memory written down and when we go back and read it years from now, I will laugh as hard then as I did the day he did it. Hopefully I can get him doing it again one day so I can tape him.

Time Flies
November 24, 2008 was one of the happiest days of my entire life. My little baby boy was born at 3:42 p.m. that day. When he was born he weighted 6 lbs 10 oz and was 19.4 inches long. Gosh, he was so tiny. I thought that if I moved him in a certain direction or way he might break. He was certainly my "littlest" and best present ever.
I NEVER would have thought that my little boy would grow up to be such a BIG boy. Last week we went to Christian's 3 year old well visit. When the nurse asked Christian to stand on the scale (I had to bribe him a little...mommy will give you a sucker) I was shocked to see how much he weighed and how tall he was. I grabbed him, gave him a hug for being a big boy, and then called him my VERY big boy. The scaled showed 40.5 pounds. His height was 40.5 inches. Yes, that is my big, solid boy.
He is in the 97 percentile for his weight and the 96 percentile for his height.
Life is just so amazing...one day you are the size of a large blueberry in your mom's stomach and the next you are 40.5 inches tall and 40.5 pounds.

A Mother's Test
Every Sunday when we are getting ready for church, Shaun and I are in the bathroom and Christian is in the living room watching either Wow, Wow or Super Why. Last Sunday was no different...I was getting ready and Shaun was in the shower.
All of a sudden Christian came in the bathroom asking for a baby wipe. I thought to myself..."Why does he need a baby wipe?" Then I found out why...I turned to the bathroom door to find this...

He had drawn with an orange Expo marker all over his face. He needed the baby wipe to clean it all off. HA, HA, HA.
All I have to say is this is what happens when you leave a 3 year old in the living room by himself with an easel and an Expo marker.

Silly Little Monkey
There are some days when I look at Christian and just can't believe that he is mine and he has grown so much since November 24, 2008. There are also other days when I look at him and think to myself "I am going to scream if he does not listen to what I am trying to tell him." From those happy times to those frustrating time...he is always my heart and soul.
As he grows up, he gets more and more of an imagination. He also gets more and more of a personality everyday as well. There are times when I wonder where in the world he heard some of the things that he tells me.
For example today at dinner time he said the darnest thing that had me rolling on the floor. Here was our conversation...
M: Christian sit down and eat your oranges and green beans.
As I am telling him this he is running around the table and playing in the living room. Once I am finished telling him to sit down he goes and sits down to eat a little bit. A short while later he gets up and runs around again. This happens about three times then...
M: Christian I am not telling you again...sit down and eat your green beans.
C: Okay, Okay. Stop fussing, stop fussing. (arm stretched out to me telling me to stop and all).
I could not hold it together. 1 Christian, Mommy 0.
