The Day Mommy and Daddy Learned the Great News...

Shaun and I were ready to add an addition to our family. Shaun had just started a new job in February where he was working for Lexington County as a Deputy. He was off to the police academy for 9 weeks on March 24th. I knew that our addition would have to wait until he was back home. Boy was I wrong. It is so true what they say about the heart…an absence makes the heart grow fonder. Shaun was home for the weekend of May 10th. When he got home, he was telling me how hard the test was and all the things that he had to do that week. When he was done, I told him that I had some good news…I was pregnant. He said that he ad a feeling because the night before when we were talking on the phone I sounded all gitty. He always says that I sound all gitty, and child-like when I have something exciting to tell him. He was right; I did have something exciting to tell him…We were going to be Mommy and Daddy. Our new addition was on its way.
