Just when my mom thought she could not be in two places at one time (with my dad and with me), my sister needed her as well. About a month ago my sister found a cyst on her ovary. The doctor tried to treat it with medicine; however, it did not work out the way that he had planned. Yesterday she ended up having surgery to remove her left fallopian tube and ovary. It was suppose to be an out patient surgery with a few days of recovery time. However, the Bailey’s don’t make things easy. We like to make things a little more complicated. While they were doing the surgery, the doctors noticed that her uterus wall was beginning to grow inside her stomach. This is a process called endometriosis. This is a common medical condition characterized by growth beyond or outside the uterus of tissue resembling endometrium, the tissue that normally lines the uterus. Still not quite sure how this happens, but like I said leave it up to the Bailey’s. She is still in the hospital recovering and will be out of work and movement for four weeks. Just about as long as me. Hopefully she will be well recovered for when Christian arrives. Please keep her, Chuck (her husband) and Carmen (her little girl) in your thoughts and prayers.
Christian and I had a doctor’s appointment on Friday (November 7th). We had our first NST (Non-Stress Test). Christian did a great job. He was very cooperative, which is really amazing because he normally does not cooperate when he is asked. He likes to do things when he wants to. His heartbeat and movement looked good and I was having zero contractions. Hopefully Tuesday’s ultrasound will go just as good. We are hoping that the amniotic fluid is higher than 8 cm or still at 8 cm. We certainly don’t want it to get any lower.
Also, please keep my friend, Heather (I work with her at LMES), her husband, Travis and their daughter, Morgan Kate in your thoughts and prayers. She was due on December 3rd, but had their little angel at 25 weeks. She is doing amazing. She was born weighing 1 lb 12 oz. and is now weighing in at 5 lbs 4 oz. When I think things are going tough, I just think about them and how strong they are. I get through it every time. They are such an inspiration. Keep it up Morgan Kate! I can’t wait for Christian and you to meet!

Donna I am so sorry to hear about your sister. I know it must be hard for you because you feel like you need to rest and you are also worried about her. And I know how you are about spending time with your family. You and ALL your family will be in my prayers. I am sure that the next dr appointment will go well.
