Let Us All Rejoice

Let us all rejoice! Thank you to everyone’s prayers and thoughts, they are certainly working. What a wonderful day at the doctor’s yesterday! We got great news! My amniotic fluid went from 7.38 cm to 10.94 cm yesterday. I was so excited when she measured it and told me what it was. Christian also passed all parts of his BPP test. We are normally in the ultrasound for about 30 minutes waiting on him to either do his breathing or moving, but yesterday we were in and out in about 15 minutes. Right when the ultrasound tech started to check his heart rate, muscle tone, movement, breathing, and the amount of amniotic fluid around Christian, he was cooperating. I think he was tired of mommy being so nervous and upset.
The doctor did tell us that if I could make it 6 more days then I would be considered full-term and they would not be as worried about possibly delivering him early. However, some diabetic babies’ lungs do not mature as fast as normal babies, so there would still be a slight chance that his lungs would not be mature enough to be delivered. He also told us that if we made it to our new due date, Christian would be here either on the 7th or 8th. We are hoping for the 7th. That is my aunt’s birthday (my dad’s older sister). She passes away when I was in the 9th grade, and my mom says that she would be tickled pink if he was delivered on her birthday. She is probably looking down from heaven and putting a request in to God herself.
