MERRY CHRISTMAS

You know, when you have a one month old things can be a little crazy. However, when you have a one month old and it is the holiday season things are extra crazy. I am not sure if I am coming or going. I think it is the sleep depravation that I am having. No, really things have been going great and Christian is sleeping better throughout the night. It is just not all night and you all know me...I LOVE MY SLEEP. My mom tells Christian all the time that he got it honest...sleeping all day and staying up all night long. That is how my sleeping patterns use to be when I was in college. Now it is to bed at 9:00 and up every two to three hours. FUN!

Well, Merry Christmas from the Spivey family. Sorry this is just now getting out (yes, four days after Christmas) but like I said "Am I coming or going?" We had a great holiday season this year. God gave Shaun and I the best present that we could ever ask for. Here is a picture to prove it...

On Christmas Eve, Shaun, Christian and I headed to the Spivey family lake house to have Christmas with Shaun's family. We had a great time. Christian got SPOILED. Who would have known that a one month old would need/get so many toys, cloths, money, books, etc. We needed a bigger car just to get home (SMILE). Christian got the best present while we were at the lake house. He got to meet his great grandmother...Grandmommy Spivey. Christian is her only grandson...he gets to carry on the Spivey name. She was so excited to meet him and so proud of Shaun and I.

Grandmommy Spivey and Christian meeting for the first time

On Christmas day, Shaun and I headed to my aunt JB and Uncle Johnny's house to celebrate with my dad's side of the family. Once again WOW...they sure do love Christian. When we left we headed to celebrate with daddy at Oak Leaf. He was so excited to see us. It was really nice spending time with him on Christmas and having him in a great mood/state. You just never know how he is going to be when you walk into his assisted living home. However, God was really looking out for us and Daddy that day. He knew it was going to be a great day.

After celebrating with daddy we went to mom and dad's house to celebrate with mom (Omah). It was very relaxing. Can you believe that Santa left Christian some presents at Omah's house as well? Christian is pretty set on toys, cloths, books, etc. for a while. I was going to say money as well but you are never good with money...ha. Omah, Aunt Renee (my sister), Uncle Chuck (my brother-n-law), and Carmen (my niece) sure do know how to spoil my little man.

All in all we had a great Christmas and are really looking forward to the New Year.

Oh one more thing...Yesterday (Sunday, December 28, 2008) Omah, Renee, Chuck, Carmen, Christian and I went roller skating. Well, not Christian but he sure did watch his mommy skate and laugh at his Omah and Aunt Renee fall. I did great (SMILE). It came right back to me like I was 12 years old again..ha. There are some pictures on a slide show to the left. FUN TIMES!
