HAPPY ONE MONTH BIRTHDAY!
Today Christian turned a month old. We had to go and see Dr. G. today because of his reflux. He has been spitting up all of his food, making grunting noises that keep me up all night long, drawing his knees up and tossing his head back, and crying. Oh what fun! The doctor gave him some Zantac. Hopefully it will help out a lot. So far so good! However, he does not like the mint flavor that they made it. What were they thinking making an infant's medicine mint flavor? Oh and guess how much my little man weighs...9 lbs and 3 oz. He is getting so big. I can't believe that he was just born a month ago and weighed 6 lbs and 10 oz. He is starting to get chunky.
We also had to start him on some formula Monday as well. I am having trouble producing enough milk for him to fill up on, so we are supplementing formula as well. Oh how it has made feeding time so much easier, smoother, and better (for Christian and me). To help out with his reflux we are mixing rice cereal with his formula and breastmilk to help thicken it up. Cross your fingers and pray that this helps my little man keep his food down so he can gain more weight.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LITTLE MAN! MOMMY AND DADDY LOVE YOU!

Nursing is so good for babies, however, it can stress a new mommy out!! I know what you mean about the formula feedings being easier. Plus, that way, Shawn can do some of them :). I hope you all had a Merry Christmas!
Yea, how the one month flies by...hopefully you are starting to get more sleep. Nursing is so hard...hard...hard...you know it's going to be hard, but you never really know until you go through it! He is getting to be a big boy...can't wait to see him soon!
Happy New Year!
