Not So Much Fun!

Let me tell you about some things that are Not So Much Fun to me...
1. Watching golf on tv.
2. Watching racing...period.
3. Watching people suffer.
4. Hanging out with drunks.
5. Holding a trash can under my 1 year old so he can throw up in it.

Last night around 10:00, Shaun went into Christian's room to check on him before we went to bed. What he found was that Chrisitan had thrown up in his crib twice. YUCK!

Of course, we threw him into the bath tub and cleaned him up and his crib. We weren't sure if he had just eaten something that did not settle with his stomach or if he had caught the stomach bug that is going around. So, I decided to lay with him on the couch until he fell asleep and then I would put him in his crib. Oh how quickly that thought changed.

Right when we laid down he started to get the gag reflex again and he throw up all over me...my neck, my chest, my hair...it was wonderful. So, we had to clean him up again and then we decided that I would just sleep with him on the couch throughout the night. Oh my NOT SO MUCH FUN! I think about every hour he woke up throwing up. We had to hold a trash can under him so that he would throw up in the trash can and not all over the floor, couch, himself, or myself. By about 3:30/4:00, he started dry heeving. Oh my NOT SO MUCH FUN!

I was just about in tears because I just did not know what to do for him. I know when I am sick I just want to get better, especially when I am dry heeving. UGGHH, I feel like I am dying. However, when you are 1 you really can't tell me or anyone how you are feeling or what we can do for you.

Thank God for the blessing that he gaves us. The reason I am saying this is because after he started dry heeving I asked God to please make him feel better and he did not throw up any more and has not since then.

THANK YOU GOD!

Oh Donna, I have so been there with my babies before. The crib puke is the worst. I am glad he seems to be feeling a little better. Hopefully the worst has passed. My kids really liked the Pedialyte ice pops when they were sick, and it kept them hydrated. Anyway...I hope he is better very soon.
