Total weight gain/loss: Oh that we don't need to talk about. Just know it is more than 40 lbs. Maternity clothes? Yes!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Oh I wish. Started last Friday with anxiety attacks in the middle of the night. Fall asleep okay and then all of a sudden I wake up not being able to breath and start to panic. I have sleep everywhere from the couch to the recliner,to Christian's bed, to propping myself up with lots of pillows.
Best moment this week: Just knowing that I will soon get to meet my little bit. His room is ready, the bags are packed. Now just waiting for Aug. 14th to pass and then we will be ready for him to come.
Movement: Yeah he is moving all the time. He really like to stretch out in my belly. All of a sudden I will feel a really hard knot in my side. When I go to feel it, I can feel his foot, elbow, hinny, something trying to poke through.
Cravings: Nothing really since I have hit my 3rd trimester. Maybe it is because it is soooooooo hot. Gender: Boy...Bryson Stephen Spivey. Christian helped us pick out the name. Stephen is Shaun's real/first name.
Labor Signs: No but still having a lot of Braxton Hick contractions.
Belly Button in or out? In. However, the tip of it is poking out. So, maybe half and half.
What I miss: Sleep and being comfortable with anything that I do.
What I am looking forward to: Meeting and seeing Bryson within the next few weeks.
Weekly wisdom from friends/family: Nothing really except that he will b here before I know it. Got lots of good ideas about how to sleep with this "not being able to breathe thing."
Milestones: Little Bit is gaining about an ounce a day. He now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. He's shedding most of the downy hair that covered his body, as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that protected his skin during his nine-month amniotic bath. Next week, Little Bit will be considered full-term. Most likely he's in a head-down position, but if he isn't, my practitioner may suggest scheduling an external cephalic version, where he'll try to turn Little Bit by manipulating him from the outside of my belly.
