New Chew Toy

Okay, I just made the title of this post sound like I was talking about my dogs, Rockey and Mickey. They did not get a new chew toy, nor did Christian...so to speak. However, he sure thinks he got a new thing to teeth on. I guess I should have titled it "Christian's new teething thingy."

For the last three weeks he has liked chewing on his feet, shoes, socks, whatever is on his feet that he can put in his mouth. I think he is using his feet to teeth...who needs those teething rings when you got toes, right?

Here is a picture of his new teething thingy. I have been trying to catch a picture of him chewing on his feet for the last few week and Shaun finally got it the other day while he was changing him. What a moment...

A few weeks ago, I wrote a post about praying and donating (if at all possible) to the Freeman family and baby Kayleigh. Let me refresh your memory about baby Kayleigh...
She is a fellow blogger friend that Christian and I have followed daily for the passed 6 months. Even though we have never meet in person, we feel that we are distant friends. It is weird, but you really do have a true, close, honest connection with your blogger friends.
Well, Kayleigh was born a one pound miracle. The doctors did not give her parents much hope in ever bringing her home, but Kayleigh sure did fight a long, hard fight. During her last surgery, Kayleigh did not get enough blood and/or oxygen to her brain causing her Cerebral Cortex to become dead. Her parents were waiting out her last few weeks in hopes that they would get to bring their little girl home with them and she would be able to live the remainder of her life with them at home.
However, that dream did not get to come true. God has other plans for baby Kayleigh. Kayleigh passed away on Monday, May 11th. Kayleigh rests peacefully, in no more discomfort, and in no more pain. She is now in the presence of our Lord, her broken body made new again.
I wanted to send out a BIG THANK YOU, with tears running down my face, to everyone who donated, prayed, thought of, etc. for Kayleigh and the Freeman's.
However, I do have one more HUGE favor to ask of you now...
When you tuck your own children in bed or kiss your loved one goodnight, please say a prayer for the Freeman family. Please pray that they will have the strength to get through this difficult time. Pray that they will be there for each other and hold one another tight.

Thank you again for all your donations, prayers, and thoughts. This family is in need of your prayers and thoughts again.

Here are some pictures that we took letting some pink balloon go for Kayleigh's memorial...
